Richard returns to the Clonakilty International Guitar festival for the fifth year running bringing with him tales of humorous trips into the world of a touring musician, Tunes that sketch historical adventures on his journey into fingerstyle guitar and shows that are always rousing performances laced with sounds from the traditional to the blues; Americana to European classical. Again this year Richard’ s Clinics and workshops will form the back bone of the festival and offer a unique opportunity for students to learn from his experiences.

Saturday & Sunday Richard will host two workshops giving participants the invaluable opportunity to continuously develop their playing and technique over the weekend. His dexterity and experience as a musician is matched by his tremendous ability and guile as a teacher to coax before unknown guitar feats from his students. His humour and insight make his work shops not only a joy to participate in but also a pleasure to witness, and are as much a work out for the funny bone as they are for your dexterous digits!
