Clonakilty born, Bill Shanley has been a cornerstone of the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival since its inception and this is little wonder as he is regarded as one of the country’s finest guitarists. The last year has seen Bill touring and recording with Ray Davies (The Kinks), Sinead O'Connor, Paul Brady and Gilbert O'Sullivan. Bill’s first solo record entitled ‘fingerpainting’ achieved huge critical acclaim in the Jazz world in particular due to its all Irish line-up of musicians.

Bill is also a much sought after record producer as well as co owner of the prestigious Cauldron Studios Dublin.
